OhBoy

Oh Boy is a Williamsburg café and burger counter on Havemeyer Street, built around smashed burgers, breakfast, and music.

Our record of this burger is two observations, so this is going to be short. The patty was very underwhelming. On a stripped-down smashburger the patty is most of what there is, and a failure there is not something a sauce or a topping can recover.

The sauce was solid. That is a genuine positive and it is the only one we wrote down.

We would rather tell you our notes on this one are two lines long than pad them into something that reads more complete than it is. We cannot tell you about the crust, the bun, the cheese, or why the meat fell short, because we did not record any of it.

On a burger this simple the patty carries the whole thing, and ours was very underwhelming.

A solid sauce is not enough to offset that, and nothing else in our record argues for a better result.
