Best Burgers in Midtown

Midtown finally has real burger depth. Bar Chimera (8.9) tops the neighborhood, a beef-forward brasserie burger from Simon Kim's three-bar room at 550 Madison. Golden Hof (8.2) follows with its Korean-American cheeseburger near Rockefeller Center, edging out GUI (8.1), ahead of Legasea (7.8) and Le Rock (7.7). Harry Cipriani (7.4) delivers a solid burger from an iconic Italian institution and Handcraft Burgers (7.0) covers the fast-casual end. The Polo Bar (6.5) and Monkey Bar (5.8) prove that a famous room doesn't guarantee a great patty. With dozens of steakhouses and hotel restaurants in the area, we still expect more from Midtown.
